This week was quite unsettling because several unexpected things happened. It started with a misunderstanding between me and one of my housemates, but the situation became more confusing because of what happened earlier near the lift after class. At that time, I entered the lift with one of my housemates while waiting for the others. I checked outside a few times, but I did not see anyone, so I assumed they were still far behind. Just as the door was about to close, another housemate managed to enter, and we held the door for her. While inside, she mentioned the name of another housemate, which made me look outside again, but the hallway still looked empty, so I pressed the button to go up.

However, things became tense when we reached the house. We realized we forgot the key, and the only person who had it was the housemate who did not enter the lift earlier. Not long after, she arrived, clearly tired and upset. She explained that she had been running towards the lift and was actually right in front of us, trying to signal for us to wait. Another housemate who was inside the lift said she saw her too, but misunderstood the signal and thought she was asking us to go first. As for me, I honestly did not see her at all, which made everything even more confusing. This misunderstanding led to an argument because she thought I ignored her on purpose, even though that was not my intention.

Later that day, something even more unexpected happened while I was resting in the living room. An object suddenly fell and hit the wall as if it had been thrown, even though it had been on the table since the night before. At that time, everyone else was asleep, which made it difficult to explain. The house we rented had also been left empty for quite a long time, which added to the uneasy feeling. The next day, one of my housemates brought her uncle to check the house, and he mentioned sensing something unusual around the kitchen and laundry area. That night, we went out to a mamak place as usual, trying to act normal even though all of us felt slightly uneasy. Overall, this experience reminded me how easily misunderstandings can happen, especially when situations are unclear and emotions are involved.
