   Week 8 of Semester 2 as a Computer Science diploma student was both challenging and full of learning experiences. The week started with a lot of anxiety because of our upcoming project presentation on website interfaces. I had missed the initial project briefing due to medical leave, so I felt a bit lost when I first joined my group. The biggest challenge was the technical requirement since we were expected to design and build a website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which were not taught this semester. I had to figure out these languages on my own, but luckily my cousin, who has experience in web design, guided me through the basics and helped me make progress. Meanwhile, in class, we continued learning Java, which was interesting but made balancing the project a bit tougher. Unexpectedly, all our classes on Tuesday were cancelled. Hi, my name is Nurbarqis Yazidna. I’m a Year 1 Computer Science student at UPTM. I chose this course because it lets me be creative while learning something technical, even though I never expected myself to take it. I’ve always been interested in art, so mixing that with computer science is really exciting. Learning new things in computer science makes me feel proud of myself, even if it’s something others might find easy. It’s amazing to realize that I can do things I never thought I could. I’m a big foodie and I especially love Korean, Japanese, and Malaysian dishes. Honestly, I can eat almost anything as long as it’s halal, though I do have my limits. I also enjoy baking from time to time, experimenting with cakes or pastries. I also love cats, they always make me smile. During my free time, I usually watch K-dramas, scroll through TikTok, or watch movies. Sometimes, I like to learn random stuff or even pick up programming languages that we don’t cover in class.
