About me



Hi, my name is Nurbarqis Yazidna. I’m a Year 1 Computer Science student at UPTM. I chose this course because it lets me be creative while learning something technical, even though I never expected myself to take it. I’ve always been interested in art, so mixing that with computer science is really exciting. Learning new things in computer science makes me feel proud of myself, even if it’s something others might find easy. It’s amazing to realize that I can do things I never thought I could.

I’m a big foodie and I especially love Korean, Japanese, and Malaysian dishes. Honestly, I can eat almost anything as long as it’s halal, though I do have my limits. I also enjoy baking from time to time, experimenting with cakes or pastries. I also love cats, they always make me smile. During my free time, I usually watch K-dramas, scroll through TikTok, or watch movies. Sometimes, I like to learn random stuff or even pick up programming languages that we don’t cover in class. I also enjoy doing makeup, depending on my mood.

One of my biggest dreams is to travel the world and capture it all through photography. I’m an adventure lover, so I want to hike, explore scenic places, and discover new countries. But it’s not just about adventure; I love things that look classy too. I want to take pictures that feel stylish, post them on Instagram highlights with each country’s flag, and make my travels look as memorable as they feel.

Last week was one of the most memorable weeks for me as I had the chance to have an iftar picnic with my friends during Ramadan. We actually planned to get ready two hours earlier, but as usual, we took quite a long time to prepare. Because of that and the traffic, we only arrived just in time to break fast and did not manage to buy any food. Luckily, our male friends had already arrived much earlier and prepared everything for us. They even bought food and drinks because they already expected that we might be late. Weekly Journal 4

  This week was quite unsettling because several unexpected things happened. It started with a misunderstanding between me and one of my housemates, but the situation became more confusing because of what happened earlier near the lift after class. At that time, I entered the lift with one of my housemates while waiting for the others. I checked outside a few times, but I did not see anyone, so I assumed they were still far behind. Just as the door was about to close, another housemate managed to enter, and we held the door for her. While inside, she mentioned the name of another housemate, which made me look outside again, but the hallway still looked empty, so I pressed the button to go up. However, things became tense when we reached the house. We realized we forgot the key, and the only person who had it was the housemate who did not enter the lift earlier.   Currently, I am pursuing my studies in Computer Science, and my main goal is to truly understand and master what I am learning throughout this course. I want to continuously improve my skills, especially in programming, system development, and problem-solving, as I know these are important for my future. In the next few years, I plan to continue my studies at the degree level and gain more knowledge as well as practical experience. I hope to challenge myself through various projects so that I can apply what I have learned and become more confident in my abilities. In the future, I aim to build a stable career in the technology field, where I can develop useful systems or software. At the same time, one of my biggest goals is to be financially stable so that I am able to provide for my family.
